Engine 109 Y Class type was built by Beyer Peacock in 1889 and delivered to South Australian Raiways the next year, it remained in use there until it was sold to the Kauri Timber Co in 1921 to work at the new Nannup mill, later it went to the northcliffe mill where it stayed until it was retired in 1964. After being stored at Manjimup it was put on display at the Timber Park in 1979
