Location of gazebo: Oak St. & Florida Ave., Greensburg
Organized in 1874. County seat Greensburg. Named after the Kiowa Indians.
Greensburg was named for stagecoach driver D. R. Green. He once ejected Carrie Nation from his coach after she snatched a cigar from his mouth and tossed it away.

The courthouse, grounds, and area recently (2009) rebuilt because of a devastating tornado which destroyed over 95% of the town.
