Asteroid 93 Minerva is a large trinary main-belt asteroid, probably of primitive carbonaceous composition. It was discovered by J. C. Watson on August 24, 1867. On August 16, 2009 the Keck Observatory revealed that the asteroid 93 Minerva possesses 2 small moons.
An allegorical sculpture called Wisdom (SABIDURÍA) depicts a horse and the female figure of Minerva holding a helmet in her right hand, while with the left she holds the reins of a rearing horse. The horse is crushing a snake, symbol of ignorance, with its hoof.
The bronze sculpture was created by Miquel Oslé in 1928 and cast at the Mir and Ferrero (Madrid). It is located in the Plaça de Catalunya in Barcelona.
