The Peugeot 403 is a car of the Peugeot brand produced between 1955 and 1966 in several versions.
The 403 (8 CV) was presented for the first time on April 20, 1955 at the palace of Chaillot at the Trocadero in Paris. It was a sedan with a sliding roof. At the time, the hood was decorated with a chrome lion, symbol of the mark, an accessory removed from the 1958 show because considered dangerous in the event of a collision with a pedestrian or a cyclist.
It produced 1,214,126 copies of the Peugeot 403. Its construction was stopped in November 1966, the last copy being an 8 cream colored CV.
