Marais, so heißt ein besonders buntes Stadtviertel von Paris. Sein Gesicht ist geprägt von kleinen Lädchen und Lokalen. Laden und Lokal zugleich ist auch das Marais auf der Münchner Schwanthalerhöhe. An der Fassade prangt noch der Schriftzug Hans Mier, denn vorher war hier ein alteingesessenes Bekleidungsgeschäft.Hier gibt es Kaffee, Gebäck und Panini, und die Tische, an denen serviert wird, sind zu verkaufen. Und nicht nur die: Die Regale sind voll mit netten kleinen Dingen: Kunsthandwerk von der Glasvase bis zur Pillendose, dazu selbst importierte Delikatessen, bevorzugt aus Italien.

Man kann hier ein gutes Frühstück genießen, bekommt eine kleine aber feine Karte in der Mittagspause serviert oder ein paar Snacks für einen gemütlichen Tagesabschluß. Die Atmosphäre in diesem hübschen Cafè ist fast ein wenig magisch.

Marais is the name of a particularly colorful city district of Paris. His face is characterized by small shops and restaurants. The Marais on the Schwanthalerhöhe in Munich is also a shop and restaurant. On the façade there is the lettering "Hans Mier", as before, there was an old-fashioned clothing shop. There are coffee, pastries and panini, and the tables are served. And not only that: the shelves are full of nice little things: crafts from the glass vase to the pillendose, and even imported delicacies, preferably from Italy.

You can enjoy a good breakfast, a small but fine menu in the lunch break or a couple of snacks for a comfortable day end. The atmosphere in this pretty cafè is almost magical.
