This bench is next to two cannons in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Both Robert and Shirley, his wife, have benches by the cannons.

They are actually buried at Evergreen Hill Cemetery and have benches there too.
Robert served in Vietnam and had a purple heart, bronze star and other commendations. He retired from the Army as Lieutenant Colonel. He was part of the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council. His wife Shirley wrote a book "The Civil War Soldiers of Prospect Hill".
