His grave & that of his wife is in the Bendemeer Public Cemetery. It features a broken column & is very well maintained. The marble plaque has fallen off at some stage but has been reattached to the headstone. His wife lived to the great age of 91.

She had engraved on one side of the headstone the following lament:

Dearest Husband thou hast left me here thy loss I deeply feel But tis God that has bereft me He can all my sorrows heal Yet some day I hope to meet thee When the day of life is over Then in heaven with joy to greet thee When our sorrows are no more.

His demise was reported in the Walcha Witness and Vernon County Record newspapers:

BENDEMEER.
Fatal Accident.

Peter Forsyth Blair, a well-known selector at Bendemeer, met his death in a shocking manner last week. He was with his brother on horseback on Tuesday, and had had a glass or two of liquor, but was not intoxicated. His brother saw him going along on his horse, and then saw him lying in the road, senseless, between Burt's store and Glover's hotel, having evidently been thrown from his horse. He was taken care of, and lingered until Thursday, when he died. Deceased was a married man, and has left 6 children. Fortunately his life
was insured. He was a man of splendid physique, being over 6 feet in
height, and was 46 years of age.

The above information obtained from the National Library of Australia, Trove Digitised Newspapers, the website listed below.
