This marker is outside the Kingsville Legion hall. It was originally established to honor the service people who died in World War I, and later plaques were added for both World War II and the Korean War.
There is a ceremony to place wreaths at and on this monument every year on Remembrance Day, November 11. 2005 was dedicated as "The Year of the Veteran", and a new carved stone was placed at the foot of the monument that year.
