Nine Mile Pond is a good place to put in a canoe and take the marked canoe trail. If you don't have a canoe, head on down to the Flamingo Marina to rent one. They're actually here, but the marina lends you the key for your canoe on the trailer.
Or, if you'd like, you can sit and watch the interesting birds, and perhaps an alligator or two.
