This two lane boat ramp is by the fish cleaning area at Flamingo in the Florida Everglades. Years ago the park decided to "plug" Buttonwood Canal to keep water from freely flowing back and forth between the canal and the waters to the north and Florida Bay. These lanes are on the Buttonwood Canal side.

For a while, the plug itself included a powered boat sling for allowing boats to be moved to either side of the plug, but that was removed after a few years. The boat ramp itself has no fee, but one must pay the federal entrance fee to the Everglades National Park to get here.
Waterbody Name: Buttonwood Canal

Fee: no

Number of Lanes: 5

Boat ramp hours: Not listed

Visit Instructions:
Logs should include a photo of the ramp area and a description of the waterbody at the time of one's visit.
