[F] C'est amusant, ce pigeonnier circulaire appartenait à la Carrée !
Situé sur un ancien fief, la ferme fortifiée de la Carrée, ce pigeonnier date de la premier moitié du XVIIIème siècle. Il apparait sur la carte de Cassini (seconde moitié du XVIIIème) sous le vocable "Colombier" qui était utilisé depuis l'antiquité, le terme "Pigeonnier" l'ayant remplacé progressivement à partir du XIXème siècle.

Il renferme 1 495 trous de boulins (permettant aux pigeons de nidifier) que vous pouvez observer, malgré l'obscurité, dans cette vidéo tournée lors des Journées portes ouvertes du Patrimoine (password = colombier):

[E] It's fun, this circular dovecote belonged to the Carrée (Square in French)!
Located on an old fief, the fortified farm of the Carrée, this dovecote dates from the first half of the 18th century. It appears on the map of Cassini (Second half of the 18th century) under the name "Colombier" which had been used since antiquity, the term "Pigeonnier" gradually replaced it from the 19th century.

It contains 1,495 pigeonholes (allowing pigeons to nest) which you can observe, in spite of the darkness, in this video shot during the Patrimony Open Days (password = colombier):
