In Salem, south of the downtown area, is a branch of the the U.S. Post Office, with a cornerstone that has the date, 1932 engraved on it.
The building is located on Margin Street at the intersection with Norman Street/Mass. Route 114.
The building is a brick structure 2 1/2 stories tall. There is white wood trim above the second floor, and white scroll-work in the triangle above the front entrance. The cornerstone is located to the right when facing the entrance. It is a foot above the ground and is made of a light stone. It has the following inscribed:
