Michael John LeBlanc (1945 - 2013)
GARDINER - Michael John LeBlanc on Nov. 3, 2013 transcended and was greeted by his family, Leonce and Francis LeBlanc (parents), Rudolph LeBlanc (brother), Michelle (niece) and spiritual mentors who departed before him.
Michael was a true "John Bapst Boy," growing up in Bangor. At 15 years old, as a grocery bagger, he began an incredible and rewarding 40-year career in the grocery business. Michael was proud to have worked with and for the people of Associated Grocers for 25 years, retiring from his position of vice president.Even after retiring he stayed involved in Gardiner Rotary and other local clubs to support his communities.
Michael felt that giving back to his community was important. Serving his community as the president of Gardiner Little League, he played an important role in achieving a new baseball field with lights for the Gardiner youth. As the president of Pee-Wee Basketball, he helped to facilitate a co-ed team dynamic where girls would have a chance to play for the first time in the organization. Mike was a coach, a mentor and a role model to the youth of Gardiner. If he saw an opportunity to help Mike was there.
