At the front (west) edge of the cemetery, along MacEwen Road, are a pair of zinc headstones, the John L. Baker headstone and this, the monument for Bessie Waugh. Both are massive slabs on substantial bases with ornate decoration, this one somewhat larger and more elaborate than the other. This headstone has rustication on the base and the sides while the top, which is rounded into a shallow dome, has vegetation designs embossed on it. The unused inscription plates on the sides have a crown above a cross, while the rear plate contains a biblical reference.
