To the east of the church, just across the road, is the St. John River, here quite a good sized river. To the north, in Nackawic, is the town's major tourist attraction, the
World's Largest Axe. On either side of the church are four adjoining cemeteries which appear as one, three of them apparently established as smaller family cemeteries. The fourth, Otis Inc. Cemetery, is at the front of two of the cemeteries.
This, the Monro Cemetery, is to the north of the church, separated from the others by a pathway keading west from the church. According to
RootsWeb it has received just over 60 interments to date, but there seems to be quite a few more headstones here than that. The earliest is that of Alexander Sterling Woodman, who died July 18, 1882 at the age of 14 years. This cemetery is no longer in use, as the most recent burial was that of Ronald M. MacFarlane, 1908 - 1981 . Apparently begun more recently that the other family cemeteries, it has a mix of twentieth century and nineteenth century stones.
