"Historisches Rathaus
Im 18. und 19. Jahrhundert residierten die Stadtväter im stattlichen Rathaus, einem repräsentativen Bau des Spätbarock, der zwischen 1712 und 1726 nach Plänen des kurpfälzischen Baumeisters Breunig errichtet wurde.
Er steht an der Stelle der aus dem 15. Jahrhundert stammenden, 1689 zerstörten städtischen Kanzlei und zweier anderer Hausplätze.
Nach dem Stadtbrand 1689 und der Wiederbesiedlung der Stadt 1698 hielt der Rat zwei Sitzungen zunächst in einem Gasthaus ab. Die Grundsteinlegung des Neubaus erfolgte 1712, das Gebäude konnte aber erst 1725 vollendet werden.
Sehenswert ist u.a. der Ratssaal im Stil des frühen Rokoko, der heute häufig für Kammerkonzerte genutzt wird. Das baugeschichtlich interessante ebenerdige historische Stadtarchiv wird heute als Trausaal genutzt. "

"Historical town hall
In the 18th and 19th century, the city fathers resided in the stately town hall, a representative building of the late Baroque, built between 1712 and 1726 according to plans by the Palatine architect Breunig.
It stands on the site of the town office, dating from the 15th century and destroyed in 1689, and two other houses.
After the city fire in 1689 and the resettlement of the city in 1698, the Council held two meetings in an inn. The foundation was laid in 1712, but the building was not completed until 1725.
Attractions include: The "Rococo" style, which is often used today for chamber concerts. The historically interesting single-story historical city archives is now used as a marrying location.
