This war memorial with a group of 3 bronze figures on the top was unveiled on 29th July 1922 to commemorate the men of Allerton & Daisy Hill who gave their lives in the great war 1914 - 1918.

The memorial and bronze figures at the top have the following form.
Base surmounted by pedestal and cast figures of a hooded female figure supporting a wounded soldier, to whom a naked youth offders a laurel wreath. Whole is enclosed by low railings. The cowled figure of death supports a soldier with a young boy symbolising postrerity offering a laurel wreath in tribute to the soldier. At their feet is a helmet and gun, and the soldier crushes a serpent underfoot. Wreath attached to the 3 and 9 O'clock sides above the plaque
