A 2.78 x 0.85 x 0.70 meter figure of a young female figure, called both the Girl and The Welcome, stands on a 1.78 x 1.26 x 1.26 meter stone base. The sculpture was created from Montjuïc stone, a type of sandstone, by Josep Dunyach in 1928.
A young girl, with her hair tied back, is standing upright wearing a sleeveless floor length dress that has a cloth strap circling her upper torso which is tied behind her with a bow. The robe is split at her upper thigh revealing her left leg. She is barefoot and appears to be walking, with her left leg and right hand slightly forward and her left arm by her side.
