Another lodge with fairly long history, Harwood Lodge #91 has been around since the middle of the nineteenth century.

Chartered on October 15, 1858 by the Grand Lodge of Maine, Harwood Lodge is now nearly 160 years old, quite a respectable age. The lodge meets in a three storey wood framed building of indeterminate age. Detail work on the exterior, however, indicates it to be a building at least 100 to 120 years of age, quite possibly much more.

The lodge meets monthly on the 1st Monday @ 7:00 PM, apparently with no dark months. The lodge building stands at 10 Center Street in Machias.

Harwood Lodge Lodge #91 A.F. & A.M. is part of 3rd District, along with five other lodges.
