Great Hill Cemetery was established in the 1830s. Remaining in use to this day it has received something over 250 interments. Of these only a handful have zinc headstones.
Near the front (north) centre of the cemetery is the zinc headstone of two infant girls, Jeanette & Edna, who died less than two years apart, both before either was six months old. They were the daughters of Charles and Alice Donovan. The headstone is a small, casket like monument with Gothic arches on the sides and a sloping, rusticated base. The girls' inscriptions are on the top of the headstone, as opposed to a side.
