EN: The top floor of the house to the crow was decorated with murals by Maximilian Neustück (1756-1834) in 1816. The pictures show two scenes from the history of Wilhelm Tell, the "Rütli Oath" and "Gessler's Death", as well as the coats of arms of the then Swiss cantons. The picture was last restored in 1995, but some areas are already very faded again.

The house originally belonged to the suburban association "zur Krähe" (to the crow), which had police and guard duties in this quarter in the middle age. A first house from the year 1442 was replaced in 1816 by today's Neo-classical building. This association still exists. It sold the property to the city in 1912 and has now its headquarters in the Spalen Gate. Today, the building is in private ownership.

DE: Das Obergeschoss des Hauses zur Krähe wurde beim Neubau 1816 von Maximilian Neustück (1756-1834) mit Wandbildern verziert. Die Bilder zeigen zwei Szenen aus der Geschichte von Wilhelm Tell, den "Rütlischwur" und "Gesslers Tod", sowie die Wappen der damaligen Schweizer Kantone. Das Bild wurde zuletzt 1995 restauriert, einige Bereiche sind aber schon wieder stark verblichen.

Das Haus gehörte ursprünglich der Vorstadtgesellschaft zur Krähe, die im Mittelalter in diesem Quartier Polizei- und Wachaufgaben übernahm. Ein erstes Haus aus dem Jahr 1442 wurde 1816 durch den heutigen klassizistischen Bau ersetzt. Die Gesellschaft existiert noch. Sie verkaufte die Liegenschaft 1912 an die Stadt und hat heute ihren Sitz im Spalentor. Heute befindet sich das Gebäude in Privatbesitz.
