Located in Greenhorn Park is a childrens' playground. There contains a stone monument located at the SE corner of the park's parking lot with a plaque that reads:

THIS CHILDRENS' PLAYGROUND
DEDICATED TO THE CITY OF
YREKA IN HONOR OF THIS
COUNTRY'S BICENTENNIAL BY
THE
YREKA LIONS
1976

Greenhorn Park itself was a bicentennial project in honor of the country's bicentennial.

The playground equipment has obviously been replaced in recent years with much newer equipment.
