"First off, what's up with the name "La Cocina?" Well, actually, it's simple. "La Cocina" means the 'kitchen' in Spanish. It's pronounced as though the "i" in Cocina was an "e". So it sounds like it should be La Cocena.

"La Cocina was started in 2003. Our first restaurant was in Acworth at the Publix center at Brookstone on Mars Hill Road. Soon afterwards we opened our Dallas location in the Kroger center at the intersection of highways 278 and 61.
