There is not much left of Buffalo Springs these days, and certainly not Cecil's Store and Station. However, this one is easy to locate, on the north side of the road (FM 174). Where FM 174 intersects with FM 3077, there is a trailer home on the northwest corner, and in front of their property are two Texas Historical Markers. One is the newer, black model, "Buffalo Springs C.S.A.", while the other, referenced in the data sheet, is a gray granite Texas Centennial Marker for Buffalo Springs, placed in 1936. Just to the west and a hair south of that marker is a witness post, and the benchmark disk can be spotted maybe a foot away from the base of the post. It has been damaged, probably by mowers, but is still usable and still legible.
