A 1:7 scale reproduction of the Ictíneo, the prototype of a submarine developed and tested in the port of Barcelona in June 28, 1859. Is part of a monument honoring its inventor Narcís Monturiol. A 4.52 x 2.69 x 2.14 meter bronze reproduction was sculpted Josep Maria Subirachs in 1963. The reproduction is mounted 6' high in a circular hole on the front a 12' painted and sculpted concrete wedge.
