The Coronation Park, between Queens Pier Road and Princes Road is conveniently located near the town centre. The park offers a range of modern children's play equipment together with a small ball games area with football posts.
The park is inspected regularly and is covered by a CCTV system.
There are public toilets nearby.
The Park is named for the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth which took place at Westminster Abbey in London on 12th May 1937 which was the year when the park first opened.
The Park is located on an old field which was formerly known as the Captain's Meadow. This was the site of one of the town's wells - Mary's Well (Chibbyr y Woirrey in Manx Gaelic).
