The Spirit of the People is a 2.15 x 0.40 x 1 meter bronze sculpture created by Jaume Otero in 1928. It was cast by Gabriel Bechini of Barcelona.
The Spirit of the People depicts a standing, semi-nude, allegorical, female figure with braided hair dressed in a tunic that is draped over both arms. She is looking down over her left shoulder while holding a laurel wreath high above her head with her right hand. Her left hand is gathering and lifting the left side of the tunic to her waist.
