One of several apartment buildings which contribute to the Riverside Avenue Historic District, the Edwidge Apartments is a three storey brick apartment with stone trim. At the eave is an overhanging cornice with bracketed modillions, beneath each of which is a tiny terra cotta pilaster. The pilasters are joined by a band of terra cotta at their bases. Lower floor windows have stone sills and lintels and arched transoms with raised stone circles in their centres, while the second storey windows have triple keystones. Second and upper floor widows have bracketed stone sills.
The doorway of the Edwidge is framed with an arched sandstone frame with Ionic styled decoration and the word EDWIDGE carved in the header. The footprint of the building is that of a trapezoid, the front being angled about 30 degrees from square to parallel Riverside Avenue.
