The first written mention of Zbraslavi according to a retrospective lexicon of municipalities 1222, according Vlastiveda Moravian is from 1240
About 30 km west of Brno, halfway between dusters and Velka Bites, found in the picturesque village Zbraslav mixed forests. Zbraslav is distributed in the hilly terrain high above the creek white water village surrounding agricultural landscape bordered on all sides by a ring of forests.
Landmark is the Church of St. Giles from the 13th century, the church is Romanesque, Baroque interior. Other sights worth mentioning the statue of St. John Nepomuk, St. Wendelin and two penitential crosses. Zbraslav has more than a quarter of a millennium long history of education. The first school was established for Marie -Terezie in 1753. The current nine-year school from 1937 and provides education for pupils from Zbraslavi and the surrounding settlements.
The village provides its citizens with everything you need. It is supplied with gas, has its own water supply and wastewater treatment, practitioner and dentist, post office, kindergarten, elementary school and in the network of the integrated transport system of the South Moravian Region. In Zbraslavi we find the cultural center, sports complex, ski slope, playground, cider house and canine area.
