Burrowing Owl Interpretive Centre has lots of outdoor displays of Burrowing Owls and inside the interpretive centre. There was a guide that explained about the owls natural habitat, feed preferences and characteristics.
The burrowing owl population is diminishing due to loss of natural habitats, decrease in over all populations throughout Canada and the United States due to high mortality and lower reproduction.
Adopt an Owl: For only $50, you can adopt one of our captive owls at SBOIC for 6 months. For $100, you can adopt an owl for a year. For $175, you can adopt an owl for two years. Donations to SBOIC are tax-deductible!
Admission Fees: Free, donations are encouraged.
