I recovered this U.S. General Land Office Survey section corner from 1936 in good condition. This survey mark is a 3.5" brass cap monumented on top of an iron rod that projects about 12" above the ground and surrounded by a small circular cairn of lava rock and along a wire fence line and about 6 feet west of a metal witness post with a yellow sign that reads 'LAND SURVEY MONUMENT'.

To reach this marker, walk easterly from Forest Road 3790 along the fence line to mark. My posted coordinates should place you very close to this section corner.
