“Killinghall’s Church of England School, which opened in 1852, had links for over a century with the village’s former Board School, opened in 1876, at the end of Otley Road. Because of their locations, they were known as ‘Top School’ (Church) and ‘Bottom School’ (Board). Pupils continued to use the Board School after it became the Village Hall in 1937 until the Church School was enlarged in 1994.”
