Tell us about the area the post box is situated.:
Queensbury is a village roughly halfway between Bradford and Halifax on the A647, which follows the line of what was originally a pack horse route.
Although a fairly small village it has some impressive buildings because in 1835 the Black Dyke Mills was built near the village and it became a very successful enterprise. Many of the buildings including houses for the workers were built by the mill owners.
This post box is in the garden wall of one of the workers houses and is on the edge of the village on the Bradford side.
