This bronze sculpture is mounted on a three tiered marble 'plinth'.
Inscriptions on various levels of this memorial read:

To Our Glorious Dead - (On the north-side of the monument)

On the nearby memorial wall there is also a plaque for all those that served in World War One (and those who were Killed in Action are marked). It has FIVE long columns, and reads:
