Le Castellet is a commune in the Var department and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It is mostly a small feudal village perched on a cliff edge. It is situated north-west of Toulon next to La Cadière-d'Azur and Le Beausset. It is surrounded by vineyards and is part of the Côtes de Provence Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) of Bandol.
Le Castellet is a fortified medieval village built on top of a hill at more than 250 meters above sea level. Built around a medieval castle, it is remarkable for its cobbled streets lined with ancient constructions of homogeneous architecture. As in many picturesque villages, today there are many shops for visitors.
The medieval castle of the XIIth century - XVIIIth century is the property of the commune. It now houses the town hall. It is protected and registered with the Historic Monuments by decree of 6 July 1939.
The église paroissiale de la Transfiguration dedicated to Saint Sauveur was built in the 12th century. The side aisle is of more recent date, it was built in 1753.
