This veterans memorial stands in front of the Presidio County Sheriff's Department on the Courthouse square in downtown Marfa. It has a tall flagpole associated with it, which may have been there first.
The memorial looks very new to us, maybe only 2-3 years old. It is made in a modern style of grey granite, with graphics, bronze service medallions, and photos inset into it.
