While the building is less than 30 years young, the congregation is over 85 years old. The church sponsors a number of community outreach programs, including a
farmers' market, open May through September, a
mobile food bank and the
Millwood Community Centre, presently under construction, and is involved with a number of other
community services.
Built of red and brown brick, the church has a very tall gable roofed sanctuary (the equivalent of three storeys) with large, full height windows at the front. To the side are a large hall and office space. At the southeast corner of the sanctuary is the tall, square bell tower/steeple. Entirely of brick, each side is divided into five bays by vertical columns of raised bricks with plain square corner pilasters of brick. The tall open belfry is at the very top of the tower, flat roofed with a cross in its centre.
