DE: Radeln nach Zahlen nach niederländischem Vorbild ist nun auch im Kreis Viersen möglich. Im März 2015 wurden im Kreisgebiet insgesamt 116 Knotenpunkte ergänzend zum bestehenden Radwege-Netz ausgewiesen. Radfahrer können im Knotenpunktsystem des Kreises Viersen eine Strecke von insgesamt 519 Kilometer zurücklegen. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass sich auch auswärtige Besucher ohne Ortskenntnis im Radwandernetz zurechtfinden. Alle 116 Knotenpunktstandorte haben einen rot-weißen Aufsatz mit entsprechender Knotenpunktnummer. Quadratische rot-weiße Plaketten unterhalb der Zielwegweiser zeigen den Weg zu den nächsten Knotenpunkten. Eine weiß-grüne Plakette weist den Weg zu einem Knotenpunkt in den Niederlanden. Die Knotenpunkte erleichtern die individuelle Tourenplanung. Radfahrer haben die Möglichkeit, sich ganz einfach und spontan eine eigene Radtour nach dem Prinzip "Radeln nach Zahlen" zusammenstellen.
Der Knotenpunt 3 befindet sich im Stadtteil Leuth an der Straßenecke Hampoel / Austalsweg. Also zwischen der Grundschule Leuth und der katholischen Pfarrkirche St. Lambertus. Hampoel ist die Hauptdurchgangsstraße durch Leuth.
Von hier aus kann man nach Westen Richtung Kaldenkirchen zum Knotenpunkt 61 radeln. Nach Norden gehts zum Knoten 6 und Richtung Südosten erreicht man am De Wittsee den Knoten 12.
EN: Cycling according to the Dutch model is now also possible in the district of Viersen. In March 2015 a total of 116 nodes were added to the existing cycling route network. Cyclists can travel a distance of 519 kilometers in the junction system of the Kreis Viersen. This has the advantage that even foreign visitors without the knowledge of the place in the cycling network can get along. The Knotenpunt 3 is located in the district of Leuth on the street corner Hampoel / Austalsweg. So between the primary school Leuth and the Catholic parish church of St. Lambertus. Hampoel is the main thoroughfare through Leuth.
From here you can cycle west to Kaldenkirchen to junction 61. To the north, go to junction 6, and towards the southeast, you reach junction 12 at De Wittsee.
