Mr Albert Hugh Teare, has represented Ramsey in the House of Keys since the death of Mr W. T. Crennell in 1918, and is now the fifth oldest member of the House. He is one of the most eloquent speakers in the Legislature, and his capacity for mastering a subject quickly, and his power of lucid exposition, make him almost invaluable when a momentous and complicated measure is under consideration. There is scarcely a local organisation in Ramsey to which he does not belong, and does not give unstinted service. He was for twenty one years editor and proprietor of "The Ramsey Courier," and is a director of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.
