DE: 10.07.2016 BONN. Ein Gespräch zwischen Oberbürgermeister Ashok Sridharan und Theaterchef Rainer Pause hat den Durchbruch gebracht. Beim Promenadenfest Beuel waren die Pantheon-Macher am Samstag schon mit dabei.
Das Pantheon-Theater plant seinen Umzug nach Beuel nun doch weiter. Diese Nachricht hat sich am Sonntag rasch in Bonn verbreitet und viele Menschen froh gestimmt. „Ich freue mich sehr über diese Entscheidung“, sagte Oberbürgermeister Ashok Sridharan erleichtert.
Theater-Chef Rainer Pause hat den OB am Wochenende darüber informiert, dass er und sein Team den Umzug in die Schauspielhalle Beuel weiter in Angriff nehmen wollen. Die Pantheon Theater GmbH will mit der Fachverwaltung der Stadt den Miet- und Darlehensvertrag zu Ende verhandeln und erfolgreich zum Abschluss bringen.
Bonns Oberbürgermeister hatte noch am frühen Freitagabend mit Rainer Pause und Martina Steimer, künstlerische Leiterin des Pantheons, ein weiteres persönliches Gespräch geführt. Bei dem Treffen ging es um die weitere Vorgehensweise, um das Ziel zu erreichen, dass das Pantheon im Herbst in der Halle Beuel starten kann. Hierzu wollen beide Seiten eng zusammenarbeiten und hoffen, nach Klärung der noch offenen Fragen auf eine endgültige positive Entscheidung bis Mitte dieser Woche.
„Das ist ein guter Tag für Bonn und die lebendige, abwechslungsreiche Kulturszene. Das Pantheon ist seit fast 30 Jahren eine Institution und aus Bonn nicht wegzudenken. Nun sind die Weichen für seine erfolgreiche Zukunft gestellt“, betonte Ashok Sridharan.
Pause sagte am Wochenende: „Nach Monaten stockender und nicht immer angenehmer Verhandlungen mit der Stadt Bonn hat Oberbürgermeister Sridharan den gordischen Knoten durchschlagen und damit den Anstoß gegeben, dass der Umzug nun doch noch funktionieren kann. Wir sind dafür ausgesprochen dankbar und gehen jetzt mit neuem Mut in die weiteren Gespräche.“
Erste Signale bezüglich der Fortsetzung der Verhandlungen gab es bereits am Samstag beim Promenadenfest am Beueler Rheinufer. Dort waren Pause und Steimer am Infostand der Beueler Kulturträger anzutreffen. Gemeinsam mit Vertretern von Brotfabik, Jungem Theater und weiteren Kulturschaffenden aus der freien Theaterszene standen die Pantheon-Vertreter Rede und Antwort zum Beueler Kulturangebot.
Beuels Bezirksbürgermeister Guido Déus und sein Stellvertreter Ralf Laubenthal nutzten die Chance und sprachen Pause und Steimer auf den Stand der Verhandlungen an. „Rainer Pause signalisierte uns, dass die atmosphärischen Störungen ausgeräumt seien und die Gespräche über die Vertragsverhandlungen fortgeführt werden“, berichtete Déus am Sonntag dem GA.
