[E] This pigeon house is the pride of the small village of Couffy in Loir-et-Cher. We know very little about its history except that it dates from the 15th century and that it depended on the abbey of Selle-sur-Cher.
In 1977 it was ceded to the commune by Mr. and Mrs. Raoul Besnard for the symbolic franc.
It is a half-timbered dovecote that has been restored.
[F] Ce pigeonnier est la fierté du petit village de Couffy dans le Loir-et-Cher. On sait très peu de choses sur son histoire hormis qu'il date du XVème siècle et qu'il dépendait de l'abbaye de Selle-sur-Cher.
En 1977 il fut cédé à la commune par M. et Mme Raoul Besnard pour le franc symbolique.
C'est un pigeonnier à colombage qui a été restauré.
