[FR] Installée au cœur du village, jadis dans le quartier dénommé « La Place », l’église est l’élément phare du village. Elle est classée Monument Historique depuis le 20 septembre 1945. Elle se compose d'une nef unique voûtée d'arêtes avec un transept bas et d'un chœur à fond plat. La voûte est traitée en panneaux peints représentant l'Adoration du Saint-Sacrement et quatre mystères de la Vierge, encadrés de moulures de stuc. Le chœur est orné d'un ensemble de gypseries, guirlandes et rinceaux où apparaissent des angelots tenant les instruments de la Passion du Christ : au centre, figurent les armoiries de Monseigneur Berzet. Une crucifixion monumentale est également conservée dans l’église ainsi que plusieurs retables dont trois signés Laurent et Gabriel Dufour, célèbres peintres mauriennais des 17e et 18 e siècles. Le calvaire est attribué à Jean-Baptiste Clappier, de Bessans (1609).
[EN] Situated in the heart of the village, once in the neighborhood called "La Place", the church is the main element of the village. It is classified as a Historic Monument since September 20, 1945. It consists of a single nave vaulted with ridges with a low transept and a flat-bottomed choir. The vault is treated in painted panels representing the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and four mysteries of the Virgin, framed by stucco moldings. The choir is adorned with a collection of gypseries, garlands and foliage with angels holding the instruments of the Passion of Christ: in the center are the coat of arms of Monsignor Berzet. A monumental crucifixion is also preserved in the church as well as several altarpieces including three signed Laurent and Gabriel Dufour, famous Mauritian painters of the 17th and 18th centuries. Calvary is attributed to Jean-Baptiste Clappier, of Bessans (1609).
