Uit 1867 daterende, 8-kantige, conische, gietijzeren vuurtoren (hoge licht) naar ontwerp van O.Harder en uitgevoerd door gieterij Enthoven. De toren is 17.50 m.hoog, is beschilderd met horizontale witte en zwarte banden en heeft 5 etages. Rond het gietijzeren lichthuis met koperen koepel bevindt zich een gietijzeren omloop rustend op consoles en voorzien van balustrade. Toegangsdeur met halfrond bovenlicht en enige ronde vensteropeningen
New Sluis est un phare à quelques kilomètres à l' ouest du village de Breskens . Le phare a été construit en 1866 - 1867 . La tour octogonale peinte, noir et blanc sur le mur de la mer à l'entrée de l' Escaut occidental . La tour a une hauteur de 28,4 mètres et dispose de cinq étages. Il fait partie d'une série de lumières qui marquent la fin de l'Escaut et le trafic maritime entre la mer du Nord et Anvers guide.
La tour n'a pas toujours été bandes noires et blanches, mais était d'abord jaune puis a été équipé avec des bandes rouges et blanches. L'optique de la tour a été conçu par Barbier, Benard & Turenne. La maison de la lumière a un dôme de cuivre.
New Sluis is a lighthouse a few kilometers west of the village of Breskens. The lighthouse was built in 1866 - 1867. The octagonal tower painted black and white on the wall of the sea at the entrance of the Western Scheldt. The tower has a height of 28.4 meters and has five floors. It is part of a series of lights that mark the end of the Scheldt and maritime traffic between the North Sea and Antwerp guide.
The tower was not always bands black and white, but was first yellow then was equipped with red and white stripes. The optics of the tower were designed by Barbier, Benard & Turenne. The house of light has a copper dome.
Originally the highlight of the light room of a line of light with a revolting light cut that was built simultaneously with the lighthouse at Nieuwesluis' t Killetje.
During the Second World War, the lighthouse was decommissioned for some time and then supplied with camouflage colors. After the war, the light was restarted again in 1951.
A l' origine du phare le plus haut de la pièce de lumière d'une ligne de lumière avec une coupe révolte de lumière qui a été construit simultanément avec le phare au 't Killetje de Nieuwesluis.
Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le phare a été mis hors service pendant un certain temps et ensuite fourni avec des couleurs de camouflage. Après la guerre, la lumière est remise en marche à nouveau en 1951.
