Almost everyone who goes along the Charles Bridge, notices this corner house No. 514. It standing at Kampa Island and it is rotated to the Charles Bridge. It has the small balcony with a beautiful wrought-iron grilles and a lantern, which is constantly shining light. Under the arched roof, which protects against bad weather ancient glass-painting of the Virgin Mary with Infant Jesus, are shelves with flowers. The whole creates the impression of a small home altar.

Témer každý, kdo jde po Karlove moste, si všimne rohového dvoupatrového domu cp. 514 stojícího na Kampe a svým prucelním štítem otoceného práve k mostu. Pozornost chodcu
poutá predevším jeho balkónek s krásne tepanou mríží a lucernou, ve které neustále svítí svetlo. Pod prohnutou stríškou, která chrání pred nepohodou starobylý zasklený obraz Panny Marie s Jezulátkem, jsou policky s kvetinami. Celek vytvárí dojem malého domácího oltárícku.
Dum U Obrázku Panny Marie patril vždy k nejvíce ohroženým objektum pri vltavských povodních. Dodnes jsou na zdivu patrny znacky, kam až sahala vltavská voda pri povodních v letech 1784 a 1845. Práve pri vzpomínané povodni k druhému uvedenému datu museli být obyvatelé domu pred rozboureným vodním živlem dramaticky zachranováni pomocí žebríku položených na plocho z oken horního patra na zábradlí Karlova mostu.
