Das Portal ist mit Säulen gerahmt und von einer Wappentafel bekrönt. Die Wappentafel selbst wird in einer anderen Waymark beschrieben. Links und rechts von der Tafel stehen zwei Wächterfiguren in Rüstung.
Das Portal wurde 1591/92 an der heutigen Stelle installiert. Zu dieser Zeit ließ Graf Simon VI. zur Lippe den Nordflügel sowie der Turm des Schlosses im Stil der Weserrenaissance erbauen.
ENGLISH:
The portal is framed with pillars and crowned by a coat of arms-plaque. On the left and right of the coat of arms are two guardian figures in armor.
The portal was installed in 1591/92. At this time Count Simon VI. Zur Lippe let built the north wing as well as the tower of the castle in the style of the Weserrenaissance.
