Based on information and photos of antique electric washing machines we found on the internet
(visit link) (visit link) (visit link) (visit link), this machine was manufactured in the 1930s or earlier. It has a round cylindrical drum for holding clothes and a wringer above the drum. The machine has four legs, and the electric motor is attached to the bottom side of the drum. The drum appears to be a beige enamel material with white speckles. The rest of the machine is very rusted, so its original color is unknown.
The machine is bolted down into the concrete walkway in front of the restaurant. This machine has been on display here since the restaurant opened several years ago. Since the machine is located outside, it can be visited 24/7.
