This plaque is located at a small square at Lord Street with a fountain, flowers beds and benches. It is dedicated to the memory of the Brothers Kenna, two firefighters who lost their lives at operational incidents on the Isle of Man.

Fireman ROBERT ALBERT KENNA
was tragically killed on 4th September 1938
during firefighting operations
at Browns Menswear Shop,
North Quay, Douglas.

Station Officer HENRY BERTRAM KENNA (Bert)
who collapsed and dies on 22nd November 1965
during firefighting operations at
Express Radios, 4 Athol Street, Douglas.
Dear brother of Robert Kenna.

NO GREATER LOVE HAS ANY MAN THAN TO LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR A FRIEND.
