The Rushford Public Library (also known as: The Tew Memorial Library) building was donated to the city in 1923. It is located on Highway 43, across the street from the Rushford-Peterson High School.
The City Hall shares space at one end of the building. The local Boy Scout troop uses downstairs space for meetings.
The Rushford Institute for Nanotechnology also uses space in the library's basement.
The Tew Memorial Library was a gift to the city of Rushford from Mrs. Estella Tew Sprague. The building was dedicated in 1923 with the following words:
"May this building help more and more to minister to the wants and needs of our citizens; and also to keep in memory the people in whose name it was erected.
This building and its grounds are designated not only to perform the practical function of storing books and providing for their use, but of housing them in such a way as to create a refining influence that will react for good citizenship, and be a real benefit to the community."
