There is no fence here, nor is there a gate. Given the presence of several Akers family members, this one probably began life as a family cemetery, perhaps on Akers family land and/or land they donated. There are two veterans of the Civil War buried here, and along with several sandstone markers, the earliest observable burials are of two Akers infants who born and died in 1869. There was a community near here at one time, called Westview.
