You can observe small hearts at each end !
The word "calvary" comes from the Latin "calvarium", translated from the Aramaic "Golgotha" meaning: Place of the skull ... Place where Christ was crucified.
The practice of erecting crosses along the roadsides and at the crossroads of towns and villages is very ancient.
These "places of worship" were a way to attract the good graces of gods and divinities or to ward off evil.

On peut observer des petits cœurs à chaque extremité !
